August of 2007, Paul Richardson met in Manila with Pastor Dennis and Denie Heppner, Charity Graff of Gentle Hands Ministries, Pastor Chuck Quinley of Emerge Ministries, and LaiEn Xu of Sinim Training Institute. Paul and his team discussed mutual ministry objectives and solidified our partnerships there. Beyond Borders is also lending support through creating video productions that tell the stories of these powerful outreaches to expand awareness of what God is doing through their respective ministries.
Also, our team worked in Cambodia with Joyce Meyers ministry team and Kingsway Charities on an amazing medical missions effort.
Also in August of 2007, we fully sponsored and conducted a high-impact campaign with nine sessions in the predominantly Muslim and Hindu area of Phoenix (Durban), South Africa and helped establish a free medical clinic for childhood victims of the AIDS virus and a Widows Ministry Center, as well as a Ministry Centre and massive warehouse for Care Ministries to flow throughout the community. This was all done with Beyond Borders partner Pastor Emmanuel Moodley of the Bethsaida Full Gospel Church. We also conducted a Leadership Summit with teachers from America and South Africa utilizing 2,000 newly-printed Study Guides to help train workers for the African harvest throughout metropolitan Durban and the nations of southern Africa. Beyond Borders sponsored the participation of 277 needy pastors in this historic Conference on Care. The attendance exceeded 2,000 persons. Beyond Borders and Operation Compassion are providing 80,000 pounds of vital food staples to assist local churches to establish food pantries for the truly needy in their communities.
